The game in a minute
Survival Zomb is one endless island. You lead a zombie horde: steer it with the stick, touch townsfolk and they join you, and swallow smaller hordes to take half of what they had. You start with 3 zombies and a 7-second shield, far from the giants. When you are swallowed you see your results, tap PLAY AGAIN and you are back on the island in about a second. There is one mode, and it never ends.
Playing
How do I steer and split?
Your thumb on the left is the stick; the button on the right is SPLIT. Every part of your horde with at least 8 zombies throws half of itself forward — the halves are smaller and faster, so they catch what the whole horde cannot. They come back together after about 8 seconds, longer the bigger they are, and you can be in up to 16 parts at once. In Settings → Controls you can make the stick floating or fixed, change its size, swap SPLIT and the stick for a left hand, and turn on Second finger splits, which makes a tap anywhere with a second finger the same as pressing SPLIT.
Why was I swallowed when we looked the same size?
A horde has to be at least 10% bigger than yours and cover a third of your circle before it swallows you. A touch alone does nothing, and the smaller horde is the faster one, so you can usually get away. Watch the rings: a red ring means that horde can swallow you, a green one means it is yours to take, and a plain ring means a shield is up. Hordes of near-equal size simply bump apart.
Why is my horde shrinking when I have stopped eating?
Nobody grows forever, but giants last a while. Above 60 zombies a horde gets hungry and sheds zombies, faster the bigger it gets (a FEAST power-up switches that off for thirty seconds), and a big horde also moves up to 38% slower than a small one. As the island fills up, hunger grows up to twice as strong. Splitting, eating and keeping moving is how you stay on top; sitting still on a fat horde is not.
What are the green spiky discs?
Viruses — fourteen of them on the island. A part of 80 zombies or more that covers one bursts into pieces thrown every which way, and wins a random 5 to 500 zombies for the gamble. Smaller parts pass over safely, so a small horde can shelter on a virus while a giant circles it.
What do the power-ups on the ground do?
RAGE (10 seconds: you swallow anyone you touch, even the biggest), SPEED (8 seconds, +45%), MAGNET (15 seconds: townsfolk join from far away) and the growth bonuses x2, x5, x10 and x50, which count every townsperson that many times.
What are Boosts, and how do I arm one?
Boosts are bought with coins and armed before a life: tap the bolt on Home. Head Start begins the life with 30 zombies instead of 3, Magnet pulls townsfolk from further away for the whole life, and Shield gives you 12 seconds of spawn shield instead of 7. One of each can be armed per life.
What is the Second Chance?
After you are swallowed, a card offers you back where you fell at the peak size you reached in that life. You have 8 seconds to decide. It is free with the Zomb Pass and on your very first life; otherwise it is a rewarded ad you choose to watch. It is not offered when you are playing offline.
Where are the leaderboard, the crown and the kill feed?
The island's live board shows the top five plus your own rank, the kill feed runs beside it, and the biggest horde on the island wears the crown. Up to 60 players share an island, and it is topped up with computer-controlled hordes so it is never empty.
Coins, skins and the Zomb Pass
How do I earn coins?
By playing. Every life pays coins and XP, and there is more in the Rewards sheet on Home: a daily streak (25 coins × the day you are on, doubled every seventh day), three daily missions, and a Daily Double that doubles the coins from your first life of the day once it lasts at least 30 seconds. In the Shop you can also watch an ad for 150 free coins, three times a day.
What do coins buy?
Hero skins, horde skins (what follows you — Walkers, Spiders, Bats, Brutes, Creepers, Lurkers, Colossi) and boosts. The Shop has a tab for each: Skins, Hordes, Boosts, Coins and Pass. Some hero skins unlock by league or by level instead of by price.
What does the Zomb Pass include?
A free Second Chance every life, +50% coins and +25% XP, 200 coins every day, two Pass-only hero skins, and no ads, ever. It is an auto-renewing weekly subscription with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers, at the price shown in the app before you confirm.
How do I cancel the Zomb Pass?
Subscriptions are managed by the store, not by us. On iOS: the Settings app → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. The app links to both from Settings → Manage Zomb Pass. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends; the Pass keeps working until the paid week is over. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
I paid and did not get my coins, Pass or skin
Open the Shop (or Settings → Store) and tap Restore purchases while signed in with the store account you bought with. If it still has not arrived, e-mail us with the store receipt and your friend code and we will sort it out. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Do I have to watch ads?
No. Every ad in Survival Zomb is rewarded and opt-in: you are told what you get and you choose to watch. There are no ad breaks, and no ad ever interrupts a life. Zomb Pass subscribers get the reward without the ad.
Account and progress
I switched phones. Where is my progress?
If you linked your account to Google, Apple or an e-mail address, open Settings → Account → "Already have an account? Sign in" on the new phone and sign in with the same method. Your cloud save replaces the guest progress on that phone. Guest accounts that were never linked cannot be recovered on a new phone.
How do I add a friend?
Friends → search for a player by name, or enter their ZOMB-XXXX code. They accept the request and you will see each other's online status. Your own code is the pill at the top of Friends; tap it to copy it.
How is the league decided?
Your results feed a weekly league — Rookie, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Legend — which is settled once a week; the league week runs on UTC. The league, friends and the store need an internet connection.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete account, or follow the steps on Delete account. Deletion is permanent. To clear only this phone without deleting the account, use Settings → Advanced → Reset progress.
Safety
Blocking or reporting a player
Open the player's card in Friends and choose BLOCK or REPORT (offensive name, harassment, cheating, or other). The sender of a friend request can be blocked from the request itself. Everyone you have blocked is listed in Settings, where you can unblock them. You can also report an offensive name or behaviour by e-mail to support@flowzy.ai with the player's name or friend code. The rules of conduct are in the Terms of Service.
Something is wrong
"Playing offline" appears on my island
The app could not reach the game server, so it gave you an offline island of computer-controlled hordes. You keep playing and keep earning coins, but the shared island, the league, friends and the Second Chance need a connection. Check your network and tap PLAY again.
"The island is full"
An island holds 60 players. Tap PLAY again and you will be put on another one.
Another horde jumped or slid
The island runs on our servers and your phone draws what it has been told; on a weak connection other hordes can catch up in a jump. If it happens constantly, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data and tell us which country you are playing from.
The game stutters, or the phone gets hot
Close other apps and restart Survival Zomb. If it persists, e-mail us with your phone model and the version at the bottom of Settings. You can also turn off Music and Haptics in Settings → Sound & feel.
I am not getting notifications, or I am getting too many
Settings → Notifications: All, streak and friends only, or off. If the app never asks, check Survival Zomb's notification permission in your phone's system settings.
